A simple and back to basics campsite, with the pricing reflecting this. EHU was well spaced out and readily available. The communal 'BYO beer tent' was a lovely place to catch up with the other residents and also a warm place to sit. Our reason for stay was the close proximity to Stoney Cove for Scuba diving, and for this it was perfect, only a 2 min drive away. 3 pubs all serving food were only a 10min walk from the front gate. With the addition of a shower block (delayed due to fishing works) this would be a fantastic site which we would use again.
Great site for getaway. A couple of pubs nearby although road is busy to walk. Steve really friendly and helpful
We have just returned from our May bank Holiday break, Excellent Friendly site with informal grass pitches and electric hook up if required. Fishing is available for a small charge. Onsite toilets and elsan point. There is also a horse riding club held alternate Sundays for people interested in equestrian etc. A large Car boot within walking distance every Sunday, also several Good pubs for eating out within a short drive. One of our Favourite Sites that's only going to improve and all for a very reasonable site fee. Thanks Steve See you in a couple of weeks When I am bringing my fishing gear.
Leicestershires hidden treasure , site is beautiful and clean , lovely toilets . Great company , advice and help . Steve is incredible putting everything together for everybodys enjoyment . Definitely off there again
Just spent a couple of days at Fortway Farm, it was very good. Enjoyed the fishing, some nice carp in the horseshoe lake. Steve was very helpful and couldn't do enough for you. Will definitely be back.
Brilliant camp site, very friendly owners and very good value for money. Welcoming and picturesque. Also if your into your fishing the fishery is very quite and secluded and would make for a great day out. 10 out of 10!
Great week end fishing thoroughly enjoyed our stay friendly, clean looking forward to going back. It was quite by accident that we found the site but so glad we did.
First time we have used this family site, what can I say it's beautiful there, we only stayed for one night just to try out the new tent. The owners and site manager are so nice, friendly and helpful. The toilets are nice and clean and also the fishing lake was beautiful too and my husband said that the fish are very well looked after and for only £5.00 for a day ticket it's great. We are definitely coming back again soon. 10 out of 10

Well where shall I start ??? If you like fishing then it's here if you like horses that's here too fortnightly . If you like a nice setting that's here 24/7 it's a warm an friendly site that's very well priced and to be honest I would rather keep quiet about it because it's that good but good things really should be shared so there you are I've said it now . We got back from here yesterday (29/7) what a lovely site. Everyone was so friendly and the site managers Steve and Dawn were so friendly and helpful. No negatives from is at all. We will see you again soon!

From the moment of arrival we were greeted as friends and not jumped upon just left to our own to set up and have a cup of tea etc. The toilets were very clean and the site has a friendly atmosphere with everyone stopping for a chat. It does get busy at weekends especially when there is a horse event on but its doesn't cause any problems. The fishing is good and the lady owner who walks her dog is very helpful. Certainly will return,quiet site pub up the road no hassle job done as far as we are concerned.

Had a wonderful peaceful few days here in Feb half term. Ran by lovely people who were friendly and helpful with a great knowledge of the local area. Looking forward to returning.

Found this site last year and have returned several times. Easy going, friendly site. Very accommodating and engaging management making you feel welcome. Several pubs and food places within walking distance. A little gem!
We were lucky enough to stay at this site over the weekend we were made so welcome fab wardens hubby was very happy about being able to fish I think we may become regulars thank you so much loved it.
Site is very clean. site managers Steve and Dawn very helpful, they even help to reverse my caravan as I was hopeless at doing it. both working hard to get new shower block ready for later this year to open. Toilets are very clean. fishing is very good plenty of carp being caught. thanks to both of them.

Just got back from a weekend at Fortway Farm. Site is small and friendly. Site managers and regular campers very welcoming. Will definitely be making this a regular camping spot. Short walk to Stoney Cove and Croft car boot. The shower block is currently working progress.

Stayed for 3 nights start of June 2019 Site just off busy "B" road but easy access both in and out .Really good and friendly site manager Steve with excellent local knowledge . Found other campers really "at home " on site and had a good few chats with them .Toilets kept very clean and shower block is progressing well with its construction... would definitely make a Bee Line to stay here again if around this part of the country in the future.
Spent a lovely 3 nights at Fortway Farm. The site is a little gem with spotless toilet facilities and the shower block almost complete which will be fantastic when finished. Well what can I say about the site manager ..... Steve is such a welcoming and friendly guy making us feel Part of the site as soon as we arrived. Steve helped us with our hook up and positioning the van onto the ramps. The site has a great community spirit and we were sad to leave. Linda was a real star helping us with transport to the cricket ground...thanks again Linda. We will definitely be back. Keep up the great work guys.
Friendly family campsite, close to Stoney Stanton village. Clean toilets. Currently no shower facility but new shower block almost completed and scheduled for opening in August 2019. Warden Steve on site and extremely helpful. Gently sloping grassed pitches with electric. We (couple) stayed with our motorhome for 5 pleasant and relaxing days. Well worth the unbelievably reasonable tariff.
Had a great bank holiday weekend stay here and the people who run it are very accommodating and easy to approach. Flexible leave times. Good for relaxing, whether it’s to sit and have a few beers, go fishing or take in the general surroundings. Friendly chickens wander about now and then. Great little site, lovely shower block and washing facilities. Was our first time camping on our own, really enjoyed it, good rates too. Thank you.
This 10 acre site is one of if not the friendliest sites I've ever stay at, very welcoming staff I couldn't recommend it more, clean facilities but basic, the owner also lent us some long hook up cables, even granted permission to take off & land, fly my drone at the top of the field, can't wait to stay again & see what's new as its work in progress, very family friendly site, plenty of space for the kids to play, I don't fish but my mate was catching plenty. Ideally located to nearby shops pubs etc, on site coffee mornings and events on throughout the year. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay so relaxing and enjoyable
Excellent fishing the owner is lovely he can't do enough for you with super clean facilities I defiantly want to camp here when I can.
Friendly family feeling to this establishment. Made to feel very welcome, owners helpful and accommodating. The amenities are good with Shower Areas, toilets, pot wash and Elson facilities all cleaned on a regular basis. Fishing is good and easy for newbies to get a good start on some decent fishing at reasonable prices. Will be coming back again ...Has all you need if you love a nice break away from the city.
We have just finished our first visit to Fortway Farm ,and we have to say this place is a little gem, Steve and Dawn made us feel very welcome,and were very helpful, the grounds and the facilities are immaculate, although quite close to home for us,it was like we were 200 miles away, had a lovely walk to Stoney Cove with our dog, everyone was very friendly on the site, and we had a relaxing time,also an excellent family site, we booked again before we left, so see you soon regards
We are just back from a fabulous weekend at Fortway Farm Leisure & Fishery. The site is wonderful, lots of open space to play ball games, a lake to do some fishing and a bike track that the kids (and adults) had lots of fun on. The toilet and shower facilities are immaculate and regularly cleaned and sanitised. We went on some lovely walks during the day, there is lots of nice scenery to take in. The owners are really friendly and helpful and the whole experience was really good. We will definitely be going back soon.
A very lovely camp site to do some fishing and just chill out, also there a massive field just for the kids to run around and burn of some energy the price is perfect for people who just want to go somewhere that’s not to expensive, also we can not forget Steve and Dawn for being very helpful and lovely and the assistant pa Mandy, I highly recommend it to everyone 5 Stars........

Great local site for us which has electric hookup if required. The site managers are really friendly and will always try to accommodate your requirements . Excellent site for fishing and great dog walks directly off the site too. Plenty of space for children to play. Toilets and showers are kept spotlessly clean. Coop just up the road for all your food essentials. Highly recommended.

Just got back from a brill camping trip at Fortway Farm in Stoney Stanton, originally booked for 4 nights but stayed for 6 as loved it so much. EHU, toilets, showers, £9.50 per night or £12.50 per night with electric. Cannot recommend the place enough and site manager is brilliant. 5*

Came on site but our electricity lead not long enough, no problem the site manager gave us another to use on site. Everyone nice and friendly. Toilets and showers lovely and clean, grass mowed frequently.
Booked Sept 2020 for 7 days but stayed 10 days the site was very clean & tidy .Steve very friendly and helpful, showers & toilets very clean but we did not use, used our caravan. Well book this site next year
Had a great midweek stay here well organised and we'll run by the owners a good all round site Very friendly and helpful if you needed anything other than that just left to get on with it but always had time for a chat and ask how you are A great fined for me just 10minutes up the road and at that price I will return again p.s the fishing was not bad either
This was our first visit to this site and stayed for three nights. Steve [site manager] met us on our arrival and took us straight to our pitch. The site is very clean and very well kept with plenty of space between units. the pitches are slightly sloping and you do need a long lead for the electric hook up although it is not a problem as Steve will supply you with extra extension leads. the cost of the pitch with ehu and the fishing permit was very reasonable. Showers and toilets are open with Covid 19 rules. it is a friendly site and we will be certainly be visiting again. Keep up the good work Steve.
I don’t really write reviews but I feel I should with this site. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by Steve, he offered assistance with our electrical set up as my lead was a bit short. The toilets, showers and washing up area were very clean. The toilets and showers were cleaned two or three times a day. Our stay was for three nights as we were scuba diving at Stoney Cove. I would really recommend this site. Steve and the team thanks.
We are just back from a 3 day stay and we can’t speak highly enough of this little gem of a site. Hubby likes fishing and caught a 8lb carp so he was happy. The wardens Steve and Dawn Couldn’t have done more for us they were very Friendly and Helpful and so welcoming. The facilities were spotless and regularly cleaned and Covid safe. We will be back In the very near future 😀
Wonderful campsite Amazing people. You won’t be disappointed! The site is lovely with fishing, kids bike area and modern spotless facilities. Steve & Dawn are the most friendly and helpful site managers I have come across nothing is too much trouble and the price is affordable. You don’t tick all those boxes at other sites that are more expensive. I’d recommend this site to anyone Thanks for a lovely stay.
Just back from a lovely weekend at Fortway Farm. Excellent value for money, friendly managers and excellent toilet and shower facilities. We used it as a cycling and walking base. Make sure you visit Stoney Cove for a drink overlooking the water - we found it by accident by walking to the back of the site up the bridle way. Next door is another bar overlooking a lake. Don’t miss the car boot sale on Sunday morning just a short walk down the hill.
Amazing site, all staff were so friendly and the site is such amazing price. Toilets were very clean and staff were great with us having guests and filling in all correct paperwork for COVID regulations. We were meant to be getting married but due to COVID couldn’t again so was a perfect location to relax by camp fire will 100% be back
Just Stayed here for 5 nights lovely well kept site, friendly staff, showers lovely and clean , £13.50 per night with EHU. Well worth the money. Fishing on site is great hubby caught loads. Would definitely go back. Highly recommended
Fabulous modern toilets and showers super clean throughout the day. Nothing was too much trouble for these guys a great campsite with a fab management. Great sense of community among everyone really enjoyed my stay. Stanton lakes and Stoney cove close by. Def recommend to others.

Just come back from an absolutely lovely weekend. The site is easily accessible to get to. Facilities are great and very clean and are cleaned throughout the day. There is fishing onsite and a car boot within walking distance. The site itself is perfect!! The staff are friendly and the so were all visitors this weekend. If you want a peaceful weekend this is the place for you!
We took a group of over twenty vans to Fortway Farm and had the most amazing time. The site is immaculate, the team running the place are helpful, friendly and could not be more accommodating. The toilets and showers are the cleanest we have ever seen and it did not matter what time of the day or night you visited them, they were sparkling and fresh smelling; even the toilet roll was quality! We’ll be back for sure and can’t wait for our next visit.

Wow, where do I start. On arrival met by site manager Steve who pointed us to our pitching spot for the week. More than helpful all week along with the rest of the happy crew. Fishing the horseshoe lake was an odd experience but we managed to catch the 3 days that we fished. Other holiday makers were chatty and everyone looked to get along. Someone always ready for a chat about putting the world to rights. Overall a really nice site for a quiet holiday that we will be visiting again and would happily recommend.

Just had a great weekend at fortway farm. It's a hidden gem all the staff so polite and helpful. The toliet and shower rooms are immaculate and brand new. The shower rooms are heated which is a lovely touch. We will definitely be back in a few wks. Thank you for making our weekend so relaxing.

Fortway Farm: Near Croft.. Don't go to the wrong site.. See Steve. Just having 3 nights camping at a beautiful campsite in Leicestershire. No electricity. Excellent showers and WC. 10min Walk to pub next to lake.. Fishing lake, wonderful walks Steve and Mandy have great local knowledge. Takeaway delivered. Absolutely Excellent. Deffo on the return list.
This was our first experience out with our caravan, so we'd picked a site 20 minutes from home. The managers could not have been more supportive and helpful to two newbies. Steve helped out with everything, from levelling the van and talking through the water and electrics, to sorting out our stuck jockey wheel on the day we left. The site itself was well kept with a new, clean toilet block and wash-up. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and plenty of room for the dog. Fortway Farm is a great local Leicestershire find and somewhere we will definitely go back to.

Always such a pleasure to stay at this lovely location, nothing is too much trouble to make you feel welcome. A very reasonable price without sacrificing comfort and amenities. Open all the year round which is a big bonus for last minute plans or travel stopovers.

Quiet site with walks directly from site on public footpaths to local villages, pubs and small supermarkets. Fishing was good. Thoroughly recommend and at a very reasonable cost for pitch with electricity.

Just had 3 nights at Fortway. Great peaceful site, great people running it too (Steve and Dawn). They bent over backwards to make sure everyone had a good stay, above and beyond in our case, Thank you. The toilet/shower facility were immaculate. Piping hot water for showers and washing up sinks. Dog friendly and easy walk to shops and pubs/restaurant. We'll definitely stay there again if we're in the area. Thanks again to Steve, Dawn and Dash for a great stay.
4 nights at this great site. Very friendly staff, nice clean utilities block. Great fishing, the owner even lent me a landing net when I broke mine. Very reasonably priced. We will be back, thanks for having us.
